Christina ScalaCello and Violin
I have been a member of the Huronia Symphony Orchestra for over 25 years as well as volunteering with the HSO trio. I am a free-lance cellist with the Renaissance Chamber Players and Trio Arioso, playing weddings and other functions. I have performed in the pit quartet with the Kempenfelt Community Players and the South Simcoe Players, as well as local choirs. I also perform with the North Bay Symphony and the Near North Singers (Nippising University chior), as well as local benefit concerts and churches. I am an experienced violin and cello teacher with the Huronia Arts Academy since 2002. I teach private lessons, adult group lessons, and group classes in various local schools. I also am director of the Fellow Cellos (adult ensemble), and children's ensembles, and conducted a workshop for the Orillia Huronia Youth Orchestra. I am Royal Conservatory of Music trained. My credentials include: grade 6 violin and grade 10 cello. I strive to make music lessons fun, enjoyable and hopefully a life-long experience.
