Ensemble Instructors

Senior Student Orchestra - Louise Martin

Louise Martin directs the Senior Student Orchestra which rehearses on Monday evenings between 7:30pm ane 9:00pm.  Playing ability ranges from RCM Grade IV to RCM Grade VIII.

Junior and Intermediate String Ensembles - Christina Scala

Christina Scala conducts the Junior and Intermediate String Ensembles.  The Junior group practises every Friday between 6:00pm and 6:45pm.  Most students have played their violins and cellos since September adn enjoy the experience of playing with other children at the same level.  The Intermediate group practises every Tuesday from 6:00pm to 6:45.  Playing ability is anywhere from Grade I to Grade III Level of the RCM.

Rock Band Rocks!- Jordan Katsuno

Jordan Katsuno directs the Rock Band Rocks! program.  These take place weekly based on enrollment and scheduling according to age and style wished to learn.

Huronia Recorder Ensemble - Lynn Thompson

Lynn Thompson is the director of this ensemble, which originated as a beginner recorder class at the Parkview Centre. The group includes soprano, alto, tenor and bass recorder players, and a guitar accompanist. New members of any age are welcome. (Private lessons are available for those who would like to learn to play.) Their repertoire includes classical as well as contemporary music, and they meet Monday mornings from !0am to 11am, including the summer.

Lynn would also be happy to direct a children's recorder ensemble if interest demands it.
