Lynn ThompsonPiano, Clarinet, Recorder, KindermusikLynn Thompson enjoys teaching a variety of private and group music lessons through Huronia Arts Academy. She is known for her patience and has a special interest in teaching young children and senior adults. Her work includes heading up our Kindermusik department (music and movement classes for newborns to 7 year-olds), and the Huronia Recorder Ensemble, a recorder group (soprano, alto, tenor, etc.) for adults, accompanied by guitar. She also started the Prevailing Winds Ensemble (for other wind instruments). Lynn offers private lessons in junior piano, clarinet, and recorder. In addition she has been involved in our school outreach programs with piano and band. She has been teaching since January 1997. Lynn has achieved RCM grade 8 in both piano and clarinet, and grade 4 in voice, and completed a piano pedagogy course. Also, she has many years of experience on her church worship team playing keyboard and singing. Leading sing-a-longs at a local nursing home is squeezed in around everything else! Her complete resume is available upon request. Lynn is currently continuing her voice studies with the intention of teaching it in the future. As a champion of less respected instruments, she’d like to introduce more people to the recorder family and the ukulele family. Lynn has raised three young adult children and a shih tzu named “George”. Feel free to contact Lynn at: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
